Plants

Plants is where we have typed up sections for different plants. This page gets updated occasionally, so check back every so often! Also, don't spend valuable time scrolling up and down searching for your plant with out knowing if it's even there. Check the sidebar on the right to see what plants are on the site. They're even put in order of how they appear when you scroll further down. To start you off, here are paragraphs explaining different types of plants.

Vascular Plants

Vascular plants contain two special tissues called xylem and phloem. The xylem helps transport water and minerals through the entire body of the plant, while the phloem helps the plant conduct photosynthesis. This usually makes the plant grow bigger than a non-vascular plant.

Non-Vascular Plants

Non-vascular plants do not contain the xylem or phloem that vascular plants have. However, many do have much simpler tissues that specialize in internal water transport. That still doesn't mean they have a wide variety of tissue types. Two common kinds of non-vascular plants are mosses and algae.
